It’s that time of year again! Usually each December I am so slammed with work, shopping and the ever growing to-do lists that never seem to get finished. I am usually grouchy and can not wait for Christmas to be over. Not this year.
I was watching a movie on Hallmark “The Most Wonderful Time of the Year” in which Morgan tries to help Jen find the “Christmas Spirit” again. I loved the part when Morgan told Jen “You’re doing Christmas Wrong”. He reminisces about when we were kids, we waited for it all year and it wasn’t just the presents.. everyone just seemed a little nicer and all the silly little traditions that meant so much are now just blown out of proportion, it’s all stressed out and angry.. Every year he hears someone say I can’t wait for Christmas to be over. He then say’s “For me the saddest day of the year is December 26th.” This really got me thinking about how much things have changed and how things use to be.
This year, I am doing a no pressure December Daily to document the holiday season and enjoy it to the fullest. Below is my Christmas Manifesto. 🙂
